Voice systems are attacked because they pay – a single compromised trunk can mean a five-figure fraudulent bill overnight. This advanced course teaches you to secure a VoIP/UC platform the way a carrier or MSP must: stopping the money loss first, then closing the data and availability gaps.
Across five visual, example-rich modules you’ll map the VoIP attack surface (SIP, RTP, SBC, Xsp); lock down SIP authentication and encrypt signaling and media with SIP-TLS and SRTP; turn the SBC into a security border; understand and defeat toll fraud (IRSF) with layered preventive and detective controls; harden the network, endpoints and availability against DoS/DDoS; and run a real program mapped to the NIST CSF with monitoring, detection and incident response. Every idea is reinforced with diagrams, quizzes and real-world MSP cases.
Recommended first: the GVIT VoIP & SIP Fundamentals and SIP Trunking & SBC courses. You will be able to: map & reduce the attack surface – enforce TLS/SRTP & strong SIP auth – configure SBC security controls – prevent & detect toll fraud – harden network/endpoints – and run a NIST-CSF-based voice-security program (a sellable MSP service line).
